Professor Nicola Maffulli is a world-famous Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Honorary Professor for Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London. Professor Maffulli is currently involved with a number of multi-disciplinary projects, both in the UK and overseas.

BACKGROUND

Nicola Maffulli is a world-renowned orthopaedic surgeon with extensive experience in sports medicine.

He organized the surgical services at the London Olympics and supervised the medical aspects of the Judo and Wrestling competitions for London 2012.
He is the Editor-in-Chief of two high-impact scientific journals and has published over 1,000 scientific articles.
Professor Maffulli has described more than 40 new surgical techniques in knee, foot, and ankle surgery, many of which have become standard practice.
His research focuses on soft tissue problems and has earned him the nickname ""King of Tendons.""
He chaired and was the Chief of Service of The Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine in London, the only academic center of its kind in the UK.
