Antonio Almendros, FSI Student of the FSI Master Football Nutritionist, is leading innovative research on the impact of melatonin on football performance through FSI Lab and collaboration with the youth categories of Real Betis Balompié.
Melatonin, a hormone known for its role in regulating sleep patterns, has recently caught the attention of sports scientists and nutritionists for its potential impact on athletic performance. Antonio Almendros has taken the lead in researching this field to contribute new insights to the scientific literature. His goal is to provide valuable information on how melatonin can influence athletes’ physical capabilities, recovery, and overall game performance.
Antonio Almendros expressed his gratitude to FSI for the project, stating, “I feel honored to carry out this research in collaboration with FSI Lab and Real Betis Balompié. I hope that our work not only benefits the football community but also contributes to the broader field of sports nutrition and performance optimization.”
Lastly, we are excited to announce that Antonio has recently started his internship at FSI Partner Club Legia Warszawa, where he is actively working with the first team. During his time there, he is learning and gaining valuable experience, and we wish him the utmost success in his endeavors. FSI extends its thanks and congratulations to Antonio for his involvement in the project and his daily work. We continue to grow together. For more information, visit:
