by FSI / Thursday, 03 August 2023 / Published in Interview, News

Mykhailo Samokhvalov, hailing from Ukraine, is not only a student of FSI but also a dedicated strength and conditioning coach. Recently, he shared his inspiring testimony about how FSI has opened doors for him to pursue his passion and work in the field that truly excites him.

As he embarked on the journey of securing an internship opportunity, Mykhailo reached out to Alfredo Santalla, who graciously offered him a spot at Boavista. Without hesitation, he chose Boavista as his preferred destination for professional growth.

After a brief period, the club extended a warm invitation for Mykhailo to commence his internship with them. He now works closely with the U18 team, while also contributing to the advancement of the first team at Boavista Lab, offering valuable support to the players on their progression.

Studying at FSI has been a game-changer for Mykhailo. It has not only provided him with specialized knowledge and academic expertise from football science professionals but has also opened doors for him to secure an internship opportunity at a professional football club.

“My experience at FSI has been exceptional. The program offers a wealth of specialized knowledge and academic training from football science experts, and it has been a stepping stone for my career in football conditioning,” Mykhailo expressed with enthusiasm.

His passion for strength and conditioning, combined with the knowledge gained from FSI, has enabled him to work effectively with players, aiding in their development and progression. Mykhailo’s dedication and commitment to his craft are evident in the valuable contributions he has made to the Boavista team.

Boavista offered him a contract of employment. However, driven by his ambitions and a desire to explore other professional avenues, he made the tough decision to decline the offer.

FSI takes pride in nurturing talented individuals like Mykhailo, providing them with the tools and opportunities to excel in the football industry. We celebrate his achievements and look forward to witnessing his continued growth and success as he carves his path in the world of football conditioning.
