Cercle Brugge’s professionals recently shared their testimonies, speaking highly of their two-year journey with FSI and the fruitful collaboration between the two entities. The professionals expressed their hope that this partnership has been equally beneficial for both Cercle Brugge and FSI.
Eddie Lattimore, the Head of Athletic Performance at Cercle Brugge, mentioned that FSI students have had the opportunity to gain practical experience, putting into practice the theoretical knowledge acquired during their Master’s program at FSI. He himself completed a Master’s at FSI about three months ago and found it highly interesting and productive. Despite already holding a Master’s degree, he was able to gather valuable information that they are starting to implement at Cercle Brugge, sparking reflections on their current practices.
Dr. Thomas Monbailliu, the Medical Doctor for Cercle Brugge, emphasized the importance of specialized knowledge in football for medical professionals. While physicians possess basic medical knowledge, to be effective in the world of football, specialization in football-specific knowledge becomes vital. FSI’s Doctorate in Football program introduces participants to football player physiology, football-specific physiotherapy, and all aspects related to playing a match. The comprehensive course enhances the medical team’s understanding of players’ needs and fosters a scientific approach to player care.
Luciano Murchio, responsible for scouting at Cercle Brugge, praised the Tactical Analyst Master’s program offered by FSI, describing it as a comprehensive course that covers essential topics in global football. He values this opportunity to expand his knowledge and stay abreast of new ideas and concepts in the rapidly evolving football world. The course is expertly led by professionals, allowing participants to refresh their theoretical knowledge and immediately put it into practice on the field and in the gym.
Nick Van Ransbeeck, the Assistant Physical Coach, echoed the importance of innovation in football while also preserving the foundation. He highlighted the significance of being up-to-date with new methodologies and concepts to continuously improve and stay competitive.
Additionally, we have a strong and positive relationship with Cercle Brugge, and it is worth mentioning that one of our students, Haris Apostolidis, has recently been hired by the club.
These glowing testimonials from Cercle Brugge’s professionals demonstrate the practical relevance and value of FSI’s programs in the world of football. FSI continues to offer exceptional opportunities for football enthusiasts to expand their knowledge, enrich their understanding, and excel in their respective fields within the football community.
