SERGIO JIMÉNEZ

CURRENTLY

Sergio is a Reconditioning Coach and Physiotherapist who currently works as Researcher & Lecturer in the degree of Sports Science and Lecturer on the Master's Degree in Performance and Functional Sports Reconditioning in Football at Rey Juan Carlos University.

BACKGROUND

Sergio has worked as Reconditioning Coach and Physiotherapist at Getafe CF 1st team and previously also served the same function at Real Valladolid CF (2002-2004).

His professional experience is extended as an advisor and coach of different elite athletes, especially in injury rehabilitation processes, combining his training and invasive physiotherapy knowledge with exercise in the early stages of the injury and subsequent retraining.
His research activity focuses on the rehabilitation of hamstring injuries in soccer players, having recently validated a specific model for this.
