Football Science Institute adds a new Educational Partner in Mexico with the incorporation of Club Deportivo Guadalajara S.A. de C.V., better known as Chivas. Chivas is one of the two teams with the most championships in the history of Mexican soccer, the club was founded in 1906 and plays at the Akron Stadium.
Throughout 116 years, the red and white stripes have painted the history of Mexican soccer with multiple episodes of joy and triumphs, including 12 league titles, 4 cup titles and becoming champions of the CONCACAF Champions League on 2 occasions, the last one in 2018.
Chivas is a phenomenon that transcends borders with more than 40 million fans in the country, the United States and the world.
In terms of training and education, this profesional alliance represents an important collaboration whereby FSI will assist by providing its academic-scientific structure. The club’s professionals will have access to the online training programs FSI has launched in 2022 in the fields of medicine, physiotherapy, coaching and nutrition, also both institutions will collaborate in the development of joint research projects that will help to improve daily practice.
Football Science Institute postgraduate students will be able to apply for professional internships at Chivas, with monitoring and mentoring from the team’s staff, fostering the development of skills, job placement and networking. a unique opportunity in the field of online training that aims to promote the employability and networking of FSI-accredited professionals.
